According to the article “Swine flu quarantine warning for visitors to China” passengers arriving from virus-hit locations such as Mexico and the US are being carefully screened upon entry. For sitting on the same plane as someone displaying cold or flu-like symptoms, you could find yourself whisked off to quarantine until further notice. A frightening thought especially if there is nothing whatsoever wrong with you! But the country is not taking any chances and we the visitor have to play by their rules.

It is unfortunate however that despite their best efforts of keeping the virus contained that reports are getting out that people have found their quarantine conditions very poor. What with this being the case, you could end up very much the worse for wear than when you started out!
