I love nature and hiking and seeing beautiful and natural scenery, so I would prefer to see things like that (lakes, mountains, forests etc. etc.) Where are some great scenic areas in England, Ireland, Scotland, Norway, Finland,Germany, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Do you have any personal favorites? What are some cheap and efficient ways of getting to these places?

Although I love nature I do want to go to a few famous cities in Northern Europe, so which ones do you personally recommend and why?

I want to go again but would prefer to try some other places first. Good public transportation is important. Museums and great architecture are important too. Shopping and expensive restaurants not so much. Spending a few days in one city then moving to another is no problem. I was just wondering what the cheapest way to travel between the cities, I thought of buying a Eurail Pass but it’d be around AU$500 just to travel 6 days in 2 months. Is there a cheaper method?
Is plane travel cheaper but more difficult?
