If your UK based and booking a holiday is it better to book in GBP or in USD at the moment?

But then not sure if I would get charged by banks for doing it this way can anyone advise I am new to travel and have never seen any tips about things like this. Any seasoned travellers out there that could help. I am in London if that helps??

Check with your credit card company as to whether they charge a conversion fee, and at what rate they convert the money.
