Hunt around but dont waste it on the UK's over inflated prices. Not only is there stunning scenary and the chance of a hot air balloon ride at sunset on Christmas morning over the most amazing scenery (very very romantic), the people are friendly and the food great! You might even get the chance to go skiing in a wonderfully underdeveloped place where you are not surrounded by hoards of tourists and pain in the neck kids! Alternatively, if you want sun, perhaps head to Egypt and do some snorkelling and diving in the Red Sea or go on a nile cruise - the weather would be great for seeing the pyramids etc. at that time of year - nice but no unbearably hot!
