Belgium, land of great cities!

There are two great reasons to visit Belgium; the superb principal cities of Brussels and Bruges. In a nutshell, Brussels is rather cosmopolitan while Bruges has something of the Gothic about it. The latter is the perfect romantic destination for lovers, honeymooners and the like despite the somewhat sombre and often macabre history of the city, while the former demonstrates modern day Belgium with aplomb!

Sights and attractions around Bruges are so common that with little reminder of the present, you find yourself completely immersed with ease in the city’s past. Your comfortable Bruges hotel will preferably be situated in an area that oozes charm and atmosphere, where you will enjoy strolling hand in hand along the many nearby aged canal-side walkways in a city where time appears to have stopped still!

Brussels, on the other hand, provides a modern day experience of life in Belgium. With monuments at every turn and dynamic building structures popping up on each and every street corner, this is where to find the best cultural attractions. Galleries and museums are everywhere as are opportunities to tap into the local cultural programme such as the opera, theatre and live music venues. You must be feeling hungry by now after all this talk of museums, you will be pleased to hear that whatever you fancy to eat is in deed on offer in this stunning metropolitan city.
