Things to look out for in Brussels…

In Brussels, there is a lot to see if you have the time! Upon arrival to Brussels, one of the first places our visitors do is to head over to the Old Town, incidentally a UNESCO World Heritage site. You probably won’t want to linger in your comfortable Brussels hotel as you become eager to set about getting to know the inner sanctum of a great European city.

It has to be said, that the ‘Main Square’ (Grand Place) is the most beautiful square of all. Wandering about the realms of the Main Square the sights will leave you in awe – from the elegant and elaborate embellishments and the great architecture to the antiquity of the Old Town. A visit to the Old Town of Brussels is like stepping back in time without a time machine or Dr Who’s Tardis! A great thing about the Main Square is that there are often open – air concerts and events, you just need to time your visit right! One amazing event that takes place here every August is that of the Carpet of Flowers. Fresh beautiful flowers are used to decorate the cobbles of the Square to produce an effect – an absolutely breathtaking spectacle!
