Does taking travel sickness medicine (like Dramamine) help lessen feelings of queasiness on roller coasters?

phantom8000 asked:

I have heard that taking sea-sickness pills or other travel sickness pills prevent you from feeling queasy on fast roller coaster or spinning rides at amusement parks, but don’t know if this remedy is reliable. Has anyone ever tried it? Does it work?

Yes, it does. I never had a problem with that before last year. At 18, I loved the rides. Now that I’m a mother of two and 24 years old now, my stomach can’t handle it as well. I got sick last year at the St Roman’s Festival on the Freak Out ride and that spinning one. I went back the next day after taking some anti nausea medication and it worked. I was still able to have a great time.
