Any ideas that will help me attract hits to my new web business?
Lochan asked:
www.compacttravelessentials.co.uk
I am hoping to attract many people who are on the move and need to travel lightand any other business worthwhile.
Could anyone advise me on where to advertise my site and any tips to put me on the road to success.

Get onto free listings websites and post in forums relevant to your niche with a backlink to your websites.

If I found your site I wouldn’t buy from it for three reasons.
1) There are no terms and conditions, which, legally, should be on any site. Check out the Distance Selling Regulations
2) There’s no indication where the company is and how to contact it other than an e-mail form. (That can be solved in your TC’s.)
3) The first thing that hits me is the statement on the home page about Budget Prices. At the point of first going to your site, it’s not my major concern. What’s more important is whether you have the things that I want. Price is only an issue if you make it an issue. Some people are put off by budget prices.
Speak to some of your local independent travel agents and ask whether you can advertise on their websites. When people are looking for places to travel to, it’s useful for them to be able to find things that they want to take with them.
Good luck!
