Barcelona, you can have all that and a beach.
Have you thought about Madeira? Its a beautiful island (Portuguese) in the Atlantic ocean. Lots of history, nice museums (beach in in Calheta, other side of the island), capital is Funchal. You could do a short break here or to the island of Porto Santo which is smaller and famous for its beach.
Berlin is an interesting destination for a few days, or how about Jersey.
