Has anyone bought a dawn break/sunrise simulating alarm clock?

Caroline M asked:

They wake you up gentley by simulating sunrise, enabling you to wake up easier in the winter when it’s dark. I have looked on google and there are so many different types and makes. They are quite pricey so I want to look into it before I buy one to make sure I get the right one.

Has anyone got one? What do you think of it? Can anyone recomend a good one?

I have looked on which but they don’t seem to have reviewed them.

Thanks.

Hi, I am interested to know if these work too. I found this site which has reviews from people who have bought them.

My sister bought me one a couple of years ago from Boots. I think it was about £40. It is a great little investment, especially if you are like me and have real trouble getting up in the dark. This one has a little globe that lights up slowly, effectively immitating the sunrise, it’s not as light as I would have hoped but it still really helps. Also the alarm is bird song and it doesn’t jolt you awake, it’s also really nice to wake to it.

I have found it to be far better than a normal alarm clock.

I HAVE THOUGHT OF GETTING ONE TO, BUT WONT YOUR BRAIN GET A FRIGHT WHEN YOU OPEN THE CURTAINS AND IT’S DARK OUTSIDE, ?
