How long do you stay online everyday?

sjm asked:

I normally stay online more than 8-9 hrs a day or sometimes more than that during holidays. Is that an addiction or normal?

    I am online about 2 – 3 hours. I think 8-9 hours is a bit ott

Very close to the sum that you mentioned. Currently I have a huge college exam so I am spending a little less than that…

    3-4 hours a day

When I’m not at work – then it’s roughly an hour if I’m checking email/playing games, etc. If lots of people happen be on MSN at the same time, then about two hours maximum. 8-9 hours seems like quite a lot to me, I mean – won’t all this be putting a massive, unecessary strain on your eyes?

if i’m at work I am online as soon as I start – shift lasts about 10.5 hrs

On my down time usually on for about 4 hrs

All depends what you are doing with your time

It’s an addiction. I stay online about 6 hours a day but it’s because of the online classes I’m taking. My sister in law is always signed in on her pc and is online 95% of the time. SHe’s been known to fall asleep at her pc and has dumped more than one bowl of cereal on her keyboard. My mom has threatened to take a baseball bat to it.

well, I am connected 8 – 10 hrs a day, but then I don’t really play on the net, I use it for work (and YA :-) ). I am constantly upload things to my servers, and testing, that’s the reason why I am on.
But… I think that plyaing in the web for more than 4hrs a day is cause for alarm.

I sound like a collosal dork, but I spend 8-10 hours a day online. Although I am a developer. I like to stay away from my computer when I’m not working..Though I normally don’t.

it really depends on wat im doin
if im at home playing world of warcraft typically i will b online for 8 hours
however i may not use the internet at all for the following 3-4 days (cos i mite b bored or i bought a new game)
i could spend 3-4 hours in a day doing research, trolling forums general internet usage,
one fairly large chunk of my time is taken up by downloads, since wen im at home i only have 128bk of bandwidth to play with, ballygobackwards (west clare in ireland) dosnt have much broadband coverage … the phone companys r cheapo’s and refuse to supply us with anything apart from wat we already have, so the majority of my time is spent downloading wat i want to use :(
Tbh i dont consider anything under 8 hours any cause for alarm wat so ever … i nko ppl who start their morning on the internet … gaming … and disconnect at bedtime (of course only on the days they arnt at work) , may sound wierd but hey, its their life

yeah about the same as you

If it’s a work day I normally have regular checks on the internet so can do a bit of browsing whilst I’m at it !
If I’m watching something on e-bay I will be regularly checking it so that adds a bit.
If I am home then I would spend a few hours on line talking to friends overseas on MSN.

So I would say I would be online for approx 3-4 hours on a working day and may 6-8 at the weekends.
