School Not allowing to take iphone on 4 day school trip?
Ok, Im going on a school trip to france in 10 days,
we went to the meeting about it they said no mobile phones! ok i can understand that.
but they would not even let me take my iphone with no sim card in it! the reason i asked this is because the iphone has everything i need like ipod, translator etc
there excuse is that other children will stay its a phone, which i could not understand.
so, what are my options should i go out and buy a ipod for a 3 day trip which i find stupid, or what can i say to them because ino some other children are taking their phones, i only want it for music and videos and apps.
Is there any act of communication or anything, or what can i say so it makes it possible to take my iphone
Thank you
and haybales241 I know your a teacher i just want advice and well the only reason i asked is that other people even the smart kids are taking theres just for the music etc, and btw its a weekend im not ment to be told off by teachers at weekends
only kiddin
Ok, for the first answer, its only for the long journeys etc and i will use headphones,
and to the girl that said just say its ipod touch well thanks but i told them now and its black and ipod touches are grey
any more advice?
Sosgez of the potato people: there reasons were that say 2 girls have a argument one rings parents and say having argument not enjoying, the parent rings the school and school dont know nothing and time school office ring up its solved and they know nothing about it, well thats for girls isnt it ? i dont think boys have stupid arguments, well i certainly dont im mature enough
Any other advice???
i want to take badly

When I was lad we never had ipods or itunes or whatever the hell you have now. Why can you just not enjoy your surrondings without constant crap been pumped into your head? i love music but not to the extent where it affects other people and my enjoyment of new things. ahem, soapbox stored away. Enjoy France! She is lovely!
just say its an ipod touch
Just hide it that’s what I do an if 1 of the teachers ask you just say its an ipod touch an hide the green and red call buttons =]
I would really try to convince them to let you bring it. I recently went on a field trip and my teacher told us no cell phones, but we convinced her to let us bring them just for the camera. What you could probably say to them is, well, that you only want it for the translator app, music, videos, and other apps. Otherwise, they always make electronic translators that are not too expensive. And for music maybe you could buy a cheap mp3 player? I hope this helped.
just leave the bloody thing at home – i teach children on field trips and it does my head in when they appear with phones/ ipods/various other electronics and headphones. 1. It’s rude and disrespectful to your teachers. 2. everything you need can be found in a phrasebook. 3. if you just realised that being without it could mean you get much more out of the trip, and may even retain some information. 4. it’s only 3 DAYS, for the love of the wee man! 5. What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander – if everyone else isn’t allowed, you won’t be either. 6. Life has it’s own soundtrack, you don;t have to bring one along with you. SIMPLE.
I can’t see what objection they should have to you taking a phone, and how they could enforce it. Sounds a bit authoritarian to me.
What were their reasons?
One of my teachers pointed out that there was no guaranty that we’d all be coming back alive. And so right she was!
Hide it. (; like honestly are they gonna check all of your bags just to see if ur gonna bring a phone?Or prove to them u dont have your sim in.BTW that’s so cool your trip is going to France. =]
dont take it, there saying no for a reason.
It’s sounds to me like ur snookered in this one! I cansee where the teachers coming from but I would think that phones would be handy in emergencies and it’s pretty unfortunate that ur gonna be left without an iPod or anything!
Just take the iphone with you, but hide it and dont get caught with it, thats what i used to do back in the day when i was in school.
